  3. Analysis: • Taking this position along the goal line during the taking of a corner kick is discouraged. You are compromising angles of view for the incoming kick; you will be out of position for the potential counter; and will not have a good view of the AR.

  4. Analysis: • The referee has taken up a position for this corner kick on the side of the penalty area closest to the lead AR, which is not correct. • This positioning has the referee farther away from the drop zone and the next phase of play. • The referee will also either have his back to the lead AR or have to turn his whole body in order to see him rather than glance

  5. Analysis: • The referee is in good position, has good proximity and an un-obstructed view for this play • He is close when the foul occurs and is able to quickly get to the spot of the incident with urgency once he realizes the situation and prevents any further issues from arising

  6. Analysis: • Good positioning by the Referee for the next phase of play and has play between himself and the lead AR • The AR should be following the ball the ball to the goal line or the second to last defender, whichever is closest to the goal line
