Carry bacteria in their blood stream Bacteria causes the flea to be incredibly hungry Task One Note down this diagram in your book SAMPLE Rats carry the fleas, help spread the plague Flea bites rat Rat dies Fleas need to find new host to feed off Humans – new host Spread the plague when it mutated into the Pneumonic Plague by coughing and sneezing Rats fed off rubbish brought rats close to humans
