Laboratory of Geophysics): CNRST • Installation, management and exploitation of the National Seismological Network • Permanent (24/24, 7/7) national seismic monitoring and warning • Seismic monitoring of large dams • Site Seismic qualification of large buildings • Seismic microzonation of urban areas • International cooperation in seismic risk studies and monitoring (CEPRIS, CTBTO, MEDNET, PROHETEC, …) • International assistance in seismic networks installation • Academic training Laboratory of Geophysical Exploration and environment: FSK • Surface geology • Basin analysis using geophysical methods especially seismic reflection and refraction • Site seismic qualification

CNRST-FSK EXPECTATION FROM THE PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION • Better identification and characterisation of the potential large tsunami sources in the Gulf of Cadiz • Assessment of tsunami impact on Moroccan coasts (3500 Km) • Evaluation of the implementation feasibility of a Tsunami early Warning System at a regional scale • Acquiring the state of the art in the Tsunami modeling technics
