  4. Media Center Rules • Media Center Pass is a must. • Always use inside voice. • Do not reshelf books, place them in the cart. • Keep yourself focused on your work; talking or wondering students will be sent back to class.

  5. Media Center Pass 1.Laminated Pass with Teacher’s name. 2.Blue Media Pass Slip completed by teacher. • Do NOT come to the Media Center without these passes from the teacher of the block you are. PRESENT PASSES UPON ENTERING

  6. Checking Out Books • Use your student ID # . • Check 2 books at a time. • Books are due on two weeks. • May renew a book twice. • Reference books cannot be checked out. • Old issues of magazines may be checked out overnight.

  7. FINES Overdue Books Pay attention to the Due Date on the back of your books. You’ll pay $0.10 per book and per day that your books are late.

  8. Lost or Damaged Books If you lose or damage a book, you must pay for that book, or your report card will be held at the end of the year.

  9. BATTLE OF THE BOOKS • For all grades, • Meets at 9th block • Team of 12 students • Represent J.T. at the County & State Competitions J. T. Williams is the 2005-2006 CMS Blue Zone Winner

  10. Using the Internet • You must have a Media Center Blue Pass completed by the teacher as the example: • Purpose: INTERNET RESEARCH • Topic: ROCKS AND MINERALS • You must have the Project RUBRIC. • You may use the Internet 30 min. at a time. • INTERNET is to be used only for research purposes.
