  2. High Capacity Telehandler A high capacity telehandler is one of the most efficient machines that can be seen on construction sites. In large sites, more than one telehandler is used to complete the work on time. They are said to be multi-tasking equipment as they have attachments that make the machine more versatile to use. However, another factor to ponder in terms of telehandler is its maintenance cost. Since it is a huge machine with several parts, nuts, bolts, and attachments; it needs a deep inspection every time the operator has to operate it.

  4. Factors that every operator should check before starting the telehandler on the site. 1. Cleanliness - Check all surfaces for leakage (oil, fuel, or battery fluid) or foreign objects. Report any leakage to the proper maintenance personnel. 2. Structure - Inspect the machine structure for dents, damage, weld or parent metal cracks or other discrepancies. 3. Safety Decals - Ensure all safety decals are legible and in place. It should be clean or replaced as required.

  5. 4. Operation and Safety Manuals – The operator has to go through the Operation & Safety Manual provided by the high capacity telehandler provider. One cannot operate the telehandler without knowing the safety instructions. 5. Fluid Levels - Check fluids, including fuel, hydraulic oil, engine oil, and coolant.
