Work Ready & Go Build Georgia

The Governor's Office of Workforce Development in Georgia administers the Work Ready program, which aims to assess and improve the state's workforce. This includes offering assessments to unemployed individuals, encouraging high school graduation rates, and increasing post-secondary education options. The program also focuses on certified Work Ready communities, which receive grant allocations and support. The biggest areas of success include high school graduation rates, while engaging the private sector and the community are noted as areas of difficulty. Work Ready regions have seen success in improving graduation rates and engaging key community leadership, but face challenges in setting goals and benchmarks for progress.
