  1. Mission Statement My mission statement is to further technology integration into everyday lesson planning and teaching at our school. Roadblocks to technology must be identified and overcome. Staff members need to be given the foresight to see the benefits of how technology is transforming education.

  2. Challenges Lack of training Lack of equipment Lack of equipment upkeep Lack of technology support for problems Lack of desire to change

  3. Lack of training Teachers can only teach using the tools and methods that they have received training on. Teachers need to be trained to use technology as an integral part of teaching and learning.

  4. Lack of equipment If an overhead is all you have….

  5. Equipment upkeep If the initial investment is made then administration needs to keep equipment working or its not going to be used and stuffed in a corner out of the way! Missing USB cords and burnt out projector bulbs must be replaced.

  6. Lack of technology support The use of technology means their will be glitches along the way. Some easy to fix (restart computer) and some not so easy requiring technicians.

  7. Lack of desire to change Desire to change has to come from each individual. Teachers need to become aware of the changing face of education. Students do not want to learn from writing on a chalkboard.

  8. Our Mission Teachers are ready for technology. We need training and equipment. We need support from administration and technicians to keep equipment working and problem free. We need the vision to see that students are learning differently in a world of multimedia programs. As an MTT we need to lead by example, facilitate the problem solving, push for implementation.

  9. As For Our Students According to Bob Regan “Students are ready for the shift to multimedia-even enthusiastic. Students are more comfortable experimenting with technology and visual images because these things are often a regular part of their lives outside of school” We need to be ready for these students!
