  1. IBPS RRB Officer Scale I 2018 Salary and Allowances The IBPS is Institute of Banking Personnel Selection conducts a common written entrance to recruit Regional Rural Bank Officers. The notification has come out to recruit the RRB Officer Scale I. The recruitment process involves Preliminaries, Mains followed by an Interview. The salaries are the most important component when anybody choose to work. Employee benefits are the motivating factors for a candidate to go through such difficult process of recruitment. Therefore, to keep oneself motivated, it is good to know the perks and benefits attached to the post of IBPS RRB Officer Scale I. The salaries, perks and the allowances attached to this post are attractive. According to the latest scale the basic pay is RS.23,700, the Scale I officer’s salary reaches unto Rs.42, 020 with the subsequent increments in the scale. IBPS RRB Syllabus Apart from the IBPS RRB Officer Scale I basic pay, the officers are entitled with the below allowances and perks: Dearness Allowance: The DA is given to the employee as a percentage of the basic salary which is currently around 46.5% of the basic pay. This is revised every three months based on the All India Consumer Price Index Data published by the Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation, Government of India. Special Allowance: It is now 7.5% of the basic pay.   House Rent Allowance / Leased Accommodation: This purely depends on the location where the officer gets posted whether urban or semi-urban or rural. For rural areas 5% of the basic pay whereas for semi-urban areas, it is 7.5% of the basic pay and the same is 10% in case of the urban areas of the country. There is also a leased accommodation provided to the bank officers which will be borne by the bank. Newspaper allowance: This allowance is provided to the officer for the purchase of magazines, newspapers, it is given half-yearly or yearly. Travelling Allowance: This allowance is provided to the officers during travel on official purposes like training. Apart from the travel allowance, the officers are also allowed the diem allowance while in training. Household Maintenance/Cleaning Expenses: This allowance is given for the maintenance of the house, own accommodation or leased. Medical Reimbursement: One of the main perks offered by the Banks to its employees. You may get treated at any hospital of your choice, the expenses will be reimbursed by the bank. The officers are also allowed a sum assured for this purpose. On an average, it is Rs.8000 per year. Conveyance allowance: This is for the everyday conveyance expenses. The petrol expenses would be reimbursed every month if you have a vehicle. The amount would depend on the urban, semi-urban or rural areas.         

  2. Hill Station Allowance: This is to the officers who are posted in the hilly areas. It is calculated as a percentage of the basic pay. Overtime Allowance: Incase the officer stays beyond the usual working hours, the overtime will be paid, and it is at the discretion of the branch manager though as to how much be paid. This typically ranges from Rs.150 to Rs.200 per hour in RRBs across India. Furniture Allowance: It is given to the officers for furnishing the leased accommodation / own accommodation / company quarters. This is usually for a particular period, for example – 5 years. Leave Travel Concession: For the scale I officers, leave travel concession is provided for travelling to the hometown or outstation locations. Typically the officers are entitled for AC II –Tier class for 3000 Km to and fro. It is typically for a period of four years. Leave Encashment: The officers are entitled for leave encashment. The leaves can be encashed against the Privilege leaves.
