  3. Extensive and exciting range of services offered all over Sydney by Public Library services to support Preliminary and HSC Students Mutual benefit in co-operative partnerships

  4. Many HSC courses require that the students undertake independent research Extension History 2,500 word historiography essay exploring an historical debate, historical biography, event, time period, history in the media……..

Mackellar Girls Campus & Warringah Library • Public Librarian visit MGC to introduce WEBFEAT • PL invited back into school to speak with Extension History class • modelled use of databases using “real ” enquiries • membership “on the spot” • Society & Culture , Legal Studies • NBSC Professional Development Day PROMOTION • INSIDE BREAK • after-hours space for study and research • HSC study and revision collections • State Library support for Preliminary and HSC Legal Studies students

  9. Positives • awareness of available and relevant resources beyond the school library and • foster valuable partnerships between school and public librarians • practical assistance to HSC students • maximising the learning outcomes • develop sophisticated research skills
