  1. PROJECT

  2. CONSTRUCTION OF TRIANGLES EQUILATERALTRIANGLE

  3. CONTENTS • Participants • Introduction • Methodology • Aims • An equilateral • Geometric construction

  4. Participants: • Kayalvizhi . T • Jisha . C . K • Devi Manjula. R GOVT. G.H.S.S. ,COTTON HILL, TVPM

  5. INTRODUCTION We are studying mathematics right from our primary classes .We had already studied the construction of various geometric figures. Polygons are the most important set of mathematical figures. There are very complex polygons with a number of sides. TRIANGLES are the most simplest polygon. There are different types of triangles & we have their construction in our chapters. This project is made in order to bring anawareness about the construction of equilateral triangles. ************

  6. METHODOLOGY The required information was collected from the lX th standard mathematics text book.

  7. AIMS • To bring an awareness about the properties of an equilateral ls. • To know about the construction of equilateral ls.

  8. AN EQUILATERAL TRIANGLE PROPERTIES: • All sides are equal. • All angles are 60

  9. Geometric construction • Draw a line AB = 4 cm long. A B

  10. Place the compass at A & draw an arc of radius 4 cm. B A

  11. Place the compass at B & draw another arc of radius 4 cm. C A B

  12. Join AC & BC. ABC is the required equilateral triangle C B A

  13. CONCLUSION By doing this project, we conclude that construction of equilateral is very easy & interesting.

  14. THANKS…….. We thank our respected I.T teacher & MATHS teacher & each & everybody who were gave instructions & encouraged us to do this project in a good manner. THANKS
