  2. About Char Dham Yatra • Situated in different directions of Uttarakhand, the Char DhamYatra, is known as the world's most sacred pilgrimage tour. These holy shrines are Badrinath in the north, Dwarka in the west, Puri in the east, and Rameshwaram in the south. A trip to the Char Dhams is the epitome of devotion, where Ganga, Yamuna, Vishnu, and all Shiva live in their purest manifestations. Gangotri Dham • At 3200 meters above sea level, GangotriDham is the second stop on the Yatra, located in Gomukh, the sacred River Ganga's source believed that bathing in the Ganges' holy water cleanses one of all sins. According to legend, King Bhagirath pondered for a long before Ganga came into the area. The stone on which he has meditated is displayed at the temple.
