  2. Albert Hall Museum Located in Ram Niwas Park in Jaipur is the oldest museum in Rajasthan. Standing as an ideal symbol of Indo-Saracenic architecture, the building is named after the Prince of Whales, Albert Edward. Also known as the Government Central Museum, it is an extensive collection of artifacts brought from various regions of the world. Equipped with lush gardens, the foundation of Albert Hall was laid on 6 February 1876 when Albert Edward visited India. The museum’s galleries have a collection of antiques and artifacts from the past that will surprise you.

  3. History Of Albert Hall Museum The history of Albert Hall Museum Jaipur is believed to be about 150 years old. The foundation of which was laid on 6 February 1876 during the visit of Prince of Wales Albert Edward to Jaipur. It was not certain how the building would be used. In 1880, at the suggestion of Maharaja Sawai Madho singh II, a temporary museum was built in 1881 to display the products of local artisans. The Museum was completed in 1887 by Jaipur PWD Director Samuel Swinton Jacob. The temporary museum, whose artifacts were collected from many parts of India and its neighbors was transferred to the new museum.
