  3. 1. Be confident If you are confident, you can talk crap on the stage and walk away and people will still applause you. To be confident , firstly, don’t be afraid of making mistakes while talking , laugh it off say something like , ” oh! my bad! I meant to say…” If you are confident the audience will automatically would want to listen to you. 2. Study your audience It is important to know what kind of audience you are addressing , what they expect and what are their views. You cant use complicated terms if you are addressing children , it is not the time to be verbose. Where as if you are addressing you client you need to use both complicated words and simple ones in order to impress him and at the same time make sure that you got you point across.

  4. 3. Eye contact The moment to establish an eye contact with the audience you are connected to them. Make sure that you keep an eye contact with the whole of audience , look to right , left and centre and repeat, and not just with one person! Because frankly if that person was me , I would get creeped out and feel uncomfortable. If you are scared to look them in the eye look at their eye brow centre or behind them it will work perfectly fine.

  5. 4. Correct body language It very essential to have a correct body language. Firstly, don’t keep your hand in the pocket , it’s a clear sign of nervousness and a disrespect for the audience who expect a formal behaviour from you. But at the same time make body gestures, like hand movement while explaining something and walking around and giving attention to the entire audience, but don’t speed walk, it’s again a sign of nervousness.

  6. 5. Add short stories Everyone like a story which moves them, excites them, makes them laugh and motivates them. The advantage of narrating a story is that, a story is best way to convey your message across the audience they can easily relate and hence understand your point.

  7. 6. Voice modulation and pace Don’t talk like a robot. Modulate your voice in relation to what you are saying, for example if you are narrating a story modulate your voice when you are acting out the different characters in it. Secondly, don’t speak too fast keep a proper gap between your words so that, the audience can understand each and every word you say.
