  9. CURRENT WASTE DESIRED WASTE 3/3/14 Cafeteria Lunch Waste • General trash: 33.5 lbs. (approx. 4 barrels) • Recyclables: 53.7 lbs. (approx. 7 barrels) • Food waste: 50 lbs. 3/7/14 Kitchen Waste • Recyclables: 7.9 lbs. (approx. 1 barrel) • Food waste: 21.3 lbs. • **General trash not measured, but very small amount 3/20/14 Coffee Shop Waste • General trash: 3.3 lbs. (1 bag) • Recyclables: 2.1 lbs. (1 bag) • Food waste: 22.1 lbs. (does not include waste coffee) Dairy waste was included. Zero!

DESIRED COST REPORT CURRENT COST REPORT • Trash removal =$437.29 for one month picked up 6 days/week • Recycling removal = $195 for one month picked up 3 times/week • Compost bins = $360.00 for 2 at $180.00/bin on Amazon • Signage = approx. $75 for 100 flyers from FedEx Office • Stickers for bins = $75 for 200 stickers from VistaPrint

  11. TIMELINE: SHORT-TERM Earth Day: make school announcement about Green Bear Program Another Environmental Club meeting Talk to school board Environmental Club meeting Order signage

  12. TIMELINE: LONG-TERM Install and use composting bins (with help of committee) First meeting of the year Evaluate Order composting bins Reconnect with school board, talk to school newspaper, etc. to get the word out
