Youth Education and Careers • The Service offers independent careers advice and guidance for young people up to the age of 18 (25 with a current Education Health Care Plan) • We are based at Jules House in Oakham, however we can arrange to see young people, parents/carers in other locations. • Our main aim is to ensure young people continue in education, training or employment when they leave school. We are on hand throughout the year to support anyone who needs additional advice and support with their future aspirations once they have moved on from Year 11. • Here are some examples of the type of help we can offer: • if your college course does not work outor you don’t like the subjects you have chosen and you need support with changing courses/colleges; • your grades are different to what you need and you want to know what your options are; • if you would like advice and support to look at other routes such as applying for work based training/apprenticeships; • you need a CV for a job with training, apprenticeship or part time Saturday work; • if you’re still not sure what you want to do when you leave school and would like to talk through all of your different options. • Please contact us on 01572 758301 if you would like more information or speak to your school Careers Adviser.
