MSKClinical leaders Network Meeting Friday 10 February 2012 – Feedback & Next Steps The Purpose of the meeting was to review progress, and to identify and agree actions for 2012 that will have the greatest impact on supporting further progress and implementation during 2012/13. The following slides show the current position regarding the provision of ICATS or similar MSK services across South Central:-

  2. Overview of ICATS or Similar Services Integrated Clinical Assessment and Treatment Services or Similar GP NOC, Care UK Bracknell BHFT Assura Southern Health NHS Solent IOW NHS PTC

  3. Agreed MSK CLN Areas of Work 2012/13:- • STarTback - Creation of a STarTback Network & Learning set to support implementation and spread of STarTback. This will commence with the 2 implementation sites forming a learning set which will be led by Dr Cathy Price. There will be a wider virtual interest group. The group will disseminate learning and provide updates to the CLN group.

  4. Agreed MSK CLN Areas of Work 2012/13-continued • 2) Pain Services – • Formation of an Interest group across the region with a view to incorporating pain services into ICATs. • To include dissemination of information, links with pain management leads/charities across the country and feedback from the self- management services pilot sites in Buckinghamshire & Portsmouth. • An event on pain management.

  5. Agreed MSK CLN Areas of Work 2012/13- continued 3) Shared Decision Making/Decision Aids– this work will link with NHS South of England’s overall strategy. It will include- • Establishment of a community of interest to support spread and adoption. • Spreading awareness and use of the national decision aids currently available of OA of the hip and knee, and other MSK decision aids as they become available. • Training and support to staff in respect of shared decision making and self care.

  6. Agreed MSK CLN Areas of Work 2012/13- continued 4) MSK Outcome Measures – this work will support the establishment and development of outcomes measures to be used across the MSK pathway.

  7. Agreed MSK CLN Areas of Work 2012/13- continued 5) Continuation of CLN Network – the CLN network will continue to meet and share information to support the development of the MSK pathway across the South of England.
