  2. TheParks Division is responsible for: • Twenty-one county parks • Fifteen public landings • Eighteen playgrounds • 1,400+ acres of parkland • 2,700+ acres of county property • Three Notch Trail – 11+ miles • Skate park, & spray ground • Facility maintenance • Equipment maintenance

  3. A typical Day for the Parks Division includes: Oversight of Capital Projects Clean-up from activities at parks / public landings Management of a park repair projects Management of small construction projects Athletic field turf management Inspections of playgrounds (18) in County parks Set-up for County and departmental events

  4. Dorsey Park Football Field Renovations New well Irrigation Bermuda grass Bleachers New pathways to be constructed this fall or next spring

  5. Wieck Playground at Miedzinski Park Replacement Project • Opened September 11, 2018 • Funded by CSMC & MD Community Parks & Playgrounds • $200,000 each; total $400,000 project

  6. New Playground at Fifth District Park • Opened June 5, 2018 • Funded by CSMC & MD Program Open Space • Total project: $140,000 County; $60,000 State; total $200,000

  7. Basketball Court Renovations • Nicolet Park and Lancaster Park basketball court renovations consist of: • repairing cracks and asphalt overlay • installation of new goals and color coating and striping of courts • Nicolet Park courts cost - $55,000; Lancaster Park court cost - $61,000

  8. Town Creek Tennis Courts Renovations • Court renovations consist of: • repairing the court, installing premier court surface • color coating and striping the court • installation of new fencing

  9. Nicolet Park Skatepark Renovations Underway • Renovations consist of: • patching of concrete, removal of deteriorated concrete and installation of new concrete • removal and relocation of grinder rails, adding a new concrete pad and fencing. • The cost of this project is approximately $90,000
