  1. 5 Great Ways to Improve Your Cat’s Diet Want to keep your cat healthy as you are? A cat’s diet is very essential to their overall health. The energy they required to maintain their body and remain fit is based on what they eat, that’s why we listed 5 great ways that can improve your cat’s diet.

  2. Improve Your Cat’s Diet with Wet Food Is your cat dehydrated? Unlike humans, cats don’t have a strong thirst drive. Even if a cat has a large amount of fresh clean water available, it is not going to drink enough water to stay hydrated. A typical dry Cat Food has a moisture content of only 10%, while a wet cat food normally has a moisture content of 75-80%.

  3. Choose Cat Foods With More Protein Cats are Obligate carnivores. What does this mean? An Obligate Carnivore is a creature that must eat animal protein in order to satisfy all of their nutritional needs. One of the main thing in cat’s diet is protein, you should check the nutrition panel of your Cat Food to know how much protein is present in your current diet.

  4. Cut Down on Carbohydrates Protein is not the only point of concern for obligate carnivores like cats. Carbohydrates can be harmful to your cat’s body because their body doesn’t have the necessary enzymes to break down carbohydrates efficiently. The big Question is how you know how many carbohydrates are in your cat’s food? Simply check the ingredient label.

  5. Add Supplements As we all know No Cat Food is perfect just like humans need vitamins to supplement their diet cats needs their vitamins too. Before giving supplements to your cat’s you should first talk to your veterinary nutritionist about the supplement that would improve your cat’s diet specifically. They are two common nutritional supplements that are great for your cat’s diet one is Taurine and the other is Omega 3 Fatty Acids.

  6. Use Scheduled Feeding Instead of Free Feeding Free feeding is not the right way to feed your cat. A bowl of food is left out for your cat to eat whenever they please. Scheduled feeding is a hard task but it will play an important role in your cat’s diet. Due to this, you have specific times when your cat will be fed. After some time the cat’s dish is picked up and your cat waits until meal time comes again.
