  1. Mrs. Ginther’sSyllabus Coming into the classroom a. Make sure cell phones and other electronics are turned off and out of sight. b. Be seated. c. If you are not in your seat when the bell rings you are tardy! d. If I am not in the room please wait in the hallway.

  2. Rules • Be respectful of everyone and everything in the room. • No put downs. • Do not talk when someone else is talking. • If you write on the desks you will clean all of them! • Work and try your best. Leaving the classroom • We will not gather at the door at the end of class. (if you are standing in the taped box you will have to wait one minute after class) • Please leave in an orderly fashion.

  3. Work time • a. When an assignment is given, label your paper correctly and begin right away. • b. If you need help ask the teacher or a nearby classmate. • c. Visiting about the assignment is the only choice, not about other interests. • d. If you finish the assignment, your choices are: work on another class’ assignment, read a book/magazine, or work on an appropriate ap. Doing nothing or visiting is NOT a choice.

  4. Supplies • Please have the following classroom materials with you every day: *notebook paper *pencil (all assignments must be done in pencil) *charged iPad in the cover • Other supplies you may want: *folder(you may want to keep assignments until you see them in Skyward), grading utensil, book to read, calculator (after first nine weeks)

  5. Assignments • If you are absent for any reason I will put your assignments in a folder. Try to pick it up before school the next day. Orif you are absent, see me the next day for OP. • If not, when you return to class, you need to pick up your assignments, complete them, and turn them in. (preferably the same week) • I will grade and return papers promptly. Every weekend I will update grades on Skyward. If your grade on Monday makes you ineligible for an activity that week, you may make up the work but your grade may not be updated until the next weekend. • Absent/Late work must be turned in the folder designated for this. If you were absent write that on the paper so that late points will not be taken off. After 2 weeks, an assignment is only worth 50%. When you have completed the UNIT TEST the missing work can no longer be turned in.

  6. Faculty Handbook • There is a 6-minute passing time between classes and students should use this passing time to get drinks, use the bathroom, and visit with friends instead of class time. • I will issue 3 bathroom passes for each nine weeks. You must have these to use the restroom. If you do not use them they made be turned in for 5 points extra credit each at the end of the quarter.

  7. iPad policy • Please have your iPad charged when you come to class. • When the bell rings they need to be turned over on your desk. • When we are using the iPads, you must stay on the app we are on. If you chose to go elsewhere your iPad will be put on my podium for the remainder of class. You may have it back when the bell rings. If this happens three times, a referral will be written. (Also if you fail to bring it to class 3 times.) • We will NOT be listening to music. Do Not have your headphones out.

  8. Sub Days • If I am absent for any reasons, I expect behavior and rules and procedures to be followed as usually. • All work is due and will be graded!
