  1. Fishing Neck Reconfiguration

  2. Fishing Neck Connection

  3. Fishing Neck—Redesign • Currently, end to narrowing is 5” • Reconfigured cable will be 11” from splice to IE4M at a minimum • Need to lengthen end to narrowing to accommodate (adding >6”) • How do we lengthen without disrupting fishing neck connection and rest of tether?

  4. Stopper Reconfiguration

  5. Stopper Reconfiguration Problem: • Shoulder of nylon plug is too large and keeps steel tubing from full contact Solution: • Design new plug out of 1/8” thick metal (aluminum or stainless) with nylon inset and remove 1/8” from steel tubing

  6. Nylon Plug Now • Tether threads begin ¼” from pipe tip • Nylon plug shoulder is ½” • In order to seat plug we would need to • narrow shoulder to ¼” or • Cut ½” from tubing

  7. Proposed Modification • Make plug out of 1/8” thick aluminum • Inset nylon guard to protect cable • Cut only 1/8” from tubing

  8. **I believe 1-1/4” diameter nylon guard will fit, but need to confirm**
