Survival/Food • They survived by hunting buffalo they also had mass majority of food  • The Plain Indians use their materials to build shelters and food  • They were also nomads. (nomads: a member of a people having no permanent homes, and who travel from place to place to  find animals.)   4. Clothes • The Plain Indian men were known for their elaborate and decorated war shirt. • The Native American women generally wore skirts and leggings. Often they wore shirts or long shirts as well.  • In some tribes, like the Cherokee and the Apache, the women wore longer buckskin dresses. Homes • The Plains Indians typically lived in one of the most well known shelters, the tepee (also tipi or teepee).  • They uses wood and cloth to cover the entrance • They made is super warm by using many blanket that they nitted. • Some of them are permanent homes most of them were nomads.   6. Tribes • The two tribes are Sloux and cree • The Sioux tribe were famous for their hunting and warrior culture. Warfare was a central part of the Plains Indian culture which led to inter-tribal conflicts and violent clashes with the white settlers and the US army. Siouan men were rewaded  for their great courage and physical strength • The Plains Cree were allied with the Assiniboine and the SaulteauxNative Indian tribes in what was known as the "Iron Confederacy".   7. Fun Facts • There are over 1000 Native American Tribes in the United States.  • The Plains Indians were those tribes of Native Americans who lived on the Great Plains of North America.  • There we many tribes that were nomads and only hunted buffalo
