Chair Expectations • Participate in the annual meeting (today) • Participate in the CIGD Fair • Plan and chair the annual individual CIG Meeting • Submit two leadership reports (optional for IGs) • Create committees and utilize volunteers as needed • Submit articles (or encourage others to submit articles)

Chair Expectations • Work with the EO to maintain and update the CIGD website • Communicate via listserv • Communicate with Division Reps, Steering Committee members, EO as needed • Solicit nominations for awards, leadership, etc. • Encourage and soliciting proposals for conference sessions as well as proposal readers

Tips for being a SUPER Chair! • Share your knowledge and what works for you • Meet the deadlines and communicate to leadership if you cannot meet them • Mark important dates on your calendar • Please don’t wear a cape or tights • Utilize volunteers: Those signing up at meeting, fair, sent via e-mail, etc.

Ideas to Increase Attendance at Annual Conference Meeting • Bring something new to the table • Make it interactive: Panels, roundtables, break out sessions by college, subject, etc. • Market how the meeting will be “new and improved” • Provide reminder flyers, handouts, buttons, stickers, etc. to share at the fair • Send out e-mail agendas to the commission prior to annual conference
