  1. tackling work pressure in belgiumJune 21, 2013

  2. our goal “As a consultant my only priority is making the ideal match, satisfy the needs of clients, both tempworkers and “temp-users”, in a way that my clients are satisfied, and that I’m satisfied because they are.All other tasks related to the match are organized in a smooth way. I have the support of my manager to help me doing the right thing in the right time.”

  3. our method • Three waves :

  4. our findings : wave 1 (2011) • Increasedworkpressurethrough the multitude of tasksandfrequency in switchingtasks • Increasedworkpressurecausedbynotknowing or applying proven methods

  5. our findings : wave 2 (Q4/2012) • Don’t re-invent the wheel, proven methods do work • Organization, focus and management support make the difference in challenging stressful times • Let people grow, keep on eliminating redundant tasks and tell them what is really important

  6. our findings : wave 3 (05/2013- …) • Recently started • Embedded in the daily job. This is not a “project” on top of • use the already existing meetings to coach & steer • involvement from top down • Sceptiscism turns into “this is what we needed” • more peace of mind by “nearby” management • more peace of mind by “setting priorities”

  7. our actions • Automate repetitive tasks & eliminate redundant tasks : • E.g. automate delivery of contracts to temp • automate post matching administration • … • Improve processes • centralize labour accidents (medical check) • centralize government allocations • use tools to visualise unit organisation (Piazza) • …. • Coach & steer : • top down, helping setting priorities • top down, helping to say no if needed • …

  8. our conviction
