And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

  3. Anima Christi Soul of Christ, Sanctify me. Body of Christ, save me. Blood of Christ, inebriate me. Water from Christ's side, wash me. Passion of Christ, strengthen me. O good Jesus, hear me:Within your wounds hide me. Do not let me be separated from you. From the devil defend me In the hour of my death call me And bid me come to unto you. That I may praise you with your saints and with your angels Forever and ever Amen .14th century

  4. Come, Holy Spirit Come, Holy Spirit Fill the hearts of your faithful And kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth Your Spirit, O Lord, and they shall be created. And You will renew the face of the earth. Let us pray. O God, who taught the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant that, by the gift of the same Spirit, we may always be truly wise, and ever rejoice in His consolation. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

  5. The Memorare Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession, was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother;to you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy hear and answer me. Amen Amen.

  6. The Prayer Of Mary My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour for he has looked with favour on his lowly servant: from this day forward, all generations will call me blessed: for the Almighty has done great things for me, and holy is his Name.He has mercy on those who fear himin every generation. He has shown the strength of his arm,he has scattered the proud in their conceit. He has cast down the mighty from their thrones, and has lifted up the lowly. He has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent away empty. He has come to the help of his servant Israel, for he remembered his promise of mercy, the promise he made to our fathers,to Abraham and his children forever.  (Lk 1:46-55)

  7. SAINT MICHAELTHE ARCHANGEL • St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits, who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen..

  8. Prayer to my Guardian Angel Angel of God My guardian dear To Whom His love Commits me here Ever this day Be at my side To light and guard To rule and guide. Amen

Blessed John Henry Newman’s prayer for vocation I shall do good, I shall do his work;I shall be an angel of peace,a preacher of the truth in my own place, while not intending it, if I do but keep his commandmentsand serve him in my calling. Therefore I will trust him.Whatever, wherever I am,I can never be thrown away. I ask not to see,I ask not to know,I ask simply to be used. God has created me to do him some definite service; He has committed some work to mewhich he has not committed to another.I have my mission – I may never know it in this life, but I shall be told it in the next.I have a part in this great work; I am a link in a chain,a bond of connection between persons. He has not created me for naught.

  17. Prayer of St Francis Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.Where there is hatred, let me sow love;where there is injury, pardon;where there is doubt, faith;where there is despair, hope;where there is darkness, light;and where there is sadness, joy.O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seekto be consoled as to console;to be understood as to understand;to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive;it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen

  18. St Catherine of Siena Holy Spirit, come into my heart; draw it to Thee by Thy power, O my God. Preserve me, O ineffable Love, from every evil thought; warm me, inflame me, with Thy dear love, and every pain will seem light to me. My Father, my sweet Lord, help me in all my actions. Jesus, love, Jesus, love. Amen.

  20. St Bede the Venerable I implore you, good Jesus, that as in your mercy you have given me to drink in with delight the words of your knowledge, so of your loving kindness you will also grant me one day to come to you, the fountain of all wisdom, and to stand for ever before your face.  Amen. St Bede the Venerable (673 – 735),Monk, Doctor of the Church, Father of English History

  21. St Aquinas’ Prayer before Study • O most Holy Creator, • Who, • out of the treasures • of Your wisdom • have most wisely ordered the Universe, Pour upon the darkness of my mind a ray of your brightness and clear me of the twofold darkness of sin and ignorance, in which I was born. Thou, Who made the dumb to speak, pour on my lips the grace of Thy blessing. Give me a quick understanding, ability to remember accuracy in explaining, ease in learning. Direct my progress and perfect the completion of my task: You who are true God and true man, who live and reign world without end. Amen.

It is only right, with all the powers of our heart and mind, to praise You, Father, and Your Only-Begotten Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ. Dear Father, by Your wondrous loving-kindness toward us, You gave up Your Son. Dear Jesus, in loving-kindness You poured forth your blood and cleared away the darkness of sin by Your magnificent and radiant Resurrection. You broke the bonds of death and rose from the grave as a Conqueror. You reconciled heaven and earth.

Amen. Lord Jesus,I give you my handsto do your work. I give you my feet to go your way. I give you my eyesto see as you do. I give you my tongue to speak your words. I give you my mindthat you may think in me. I give you my spirit that you may pray in me.

  25. Celtic Prayer God be in my head and in my understanding. God be in my eyes and in my looking. God be in my mouth and in my speaking. God be in my heart and in my thinking. God be at my end and my departing.

  26. Hindu prayer of Repentance Most especially also, we repent for every action that has brought ruin to others, for every word and deed that has given others pain;and for every wish that pain should befall others. We repent, O God most merciful, for all our sins; for every thought that was false or unjust or unclean;for every word spoken that ought not to have been spoken; and for every deed done that ought not to have been done; In your unbounded mercy, we ask you to forgive us, o God, for all these sins committed by us, and to forgive us for our constant failuresto think and speak and act according to your will. Meher Baba - 1951 • We repent for every deed and word and thought inspired by selfishness, and for every deed and word and thought inspired by hatred. We repent most specially for every lustful thought and every lustful action; for every lie; for all hypocrisy; for every promise given but not fulfilled, and for all slander and backbiting.

  27. Buddhist Prayer May all beings have happinessand the causes of happiness. May all beings have no sufferingnor the causes of suffering. May all beings dwell in supreme blissfree from all sorrow and suffering. And may all being rest in great peacefree from all attachment, addiction, indifference and aversion. And may all beings wake upto recognize their true self-nature.

  28. In the Name of Allah, the All-merciful, the All-compassionate My God, to Thee I complain of a soul commanding to evil, rushing to offences, eager to disobey Thee, and exposing itself to Thy anger. It takes me on the roads of disasters; when evil touches it, it is anxious; when good touches it, grudging. Inclined to distraction, full of heedlessness and inattention, it hurries me to misdeeds and makes me delay repentance. • My God, there is no force and no strength except in Thy power. So I ask Thee by Thy far-reaching wisdom and Thy penetrating will : • Be for me a helper against enemies, a coverer of shameful things and faults, a protector against afflictions, a preserver against acts of disobedience! • By Thy clemency and mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful.

  29. Psalm 100: Jewish Prayer of Praise Cry out with joy to the Lord, all the earth.  Serve the Lord with gladness;Come before him singing for joy Know that he, the Lord is God.    He made us, we belong to him];    we are his people, the sheep of his flock. Go within his gates giving thanks    Enter his courts with songs of praise;    give thanks to him and bless his name. Indeed how good is the Lord Eternal his merciful love, He is faithful from age to age.

  30. Sikh Morning Prayer There is One God. He is the supreme truth. He, The Creator, Is without fear and without hate. He, The Omnipresent, Pervades the universe. He is not born, Nor does He die to be born again, By His grace shalt thou worship Him.
