  1. Are you planning to take IELTS? Let’s start here! Do you intend to take the IELTS exam? Let's get this party started! Do you intend to immigrate to Canada or pursue higher education there? You will almost certainly require a score on an English Language Proficiency Test. One of the choices is to obtain IELTS scores. The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is one of the most widely used English language assessments for study, migration, and employment. Every year, almost three million people take the IELTS exam. Here are some questions you may have if you've opted to take the IELTS test for immigration or study purposes. Which IELTS Academic (AC) or General Training (GT) test should I take? There are two sorts of IELTS tests: Academic and General Training. "IELTS Academic," as the name implies, is for academic reasons and is for people who wish to study at institutions where English is required. The IELTS General Training is mostly used for employment or immigration purposes. Check with your academic institute, company, professional licencing agency, or immigration authorities to determine which IELTS exam type you require. Should I go for a paper-based (PB) or a computer-delivered (CD) option? Unique Academy Canada offers both computer-delivered and paper-based assessments, allowing you to select the format that best meets your needs. If you are comfortable typing on a computer, you can take the computer-delivered IELTS, which includes computer-based portions for Listening, Reading, and Writing. If you want to write on paper with a pencil, you should take the paper-based IELTS. Whether you take the test on a computer or on paper, you can be confident that both versions are the same, reliable English Language Proficiency Test. Visit the Unique Academy Canada IELTS Exam Centres website to learn more about IELTS test types and delivery formats. Is there a difference in timing between paper-based and computer-delivered tests? The computer-based and paper-based IELTS are identical in every way, including:

  2. Content and question types are the same. The speaking test will continue to be conducted face-to-face. The same marking criteria apply. Form for a Test Report The timings for the Reading, Writing, and Speaking modules are the same in both formats; however, the timings for the Listening component of the computer-delivered test varies slightly from the paper-based test. Because the paper-based test needs users to transfer their responses to an answer sheet, this is the case. When you answer directly on a computer, you don't have to do this extra step. What is the point of studying or preparing for the IELTS test? It is possible for test takers who use English in their daily life and are confident in their language skills to underestimate their degree of readiness to take the IELTS test. Some exam takers can fall prey to the following myths or incorrect ideas: I receive higher marks in the writing portion if I write more. The more I practise writing the test, the better I will become. My score will improve if I write more than the word limit in the writing area or if I say a lot in the speaking section. Before taking the test, familiarise yourself with the structure, question kinds, and expected response formats, regardless of the format. IELTS preparation programmes are available at UNIQUE ACADEMY CANADA to help you achieve your goal while working around your everyday schedule. So, are you prepared to take the IELTS exam? You can meet with an IELTS counsellor to gain assistance as you begin your journey.
