  1. Strangest Geological Formations You Need To Check Out At Least Once From massive crystals, strange stalagmites, and unusual geological oddities we will show you some of the earth's weird formations that look vastly different than anything else around. Today we will show you some of the strangest and the weirdest natural formations around the world:

  2. PAMUKKALE, LOCATION- SOUTHWESTERN TURKEY : If you want to go on an infinite swimming experience then check out Pamuk kale. It’s a natural cascading fountain that has striking white walls and pure blue waters, the waters come from the ancient hot springs that spill down the white travertine cliff face, and over thousands of years, this water was formed. There are countless round pools due to this water being both warm and rich in minerals like calcium. The area was used as an outdoor bathhouse during Roman times and while much of the area is now a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site you can still relax in these incredible baths today.

  3. THE GIANTS CAUSEWAY, LOCATION: BUSHMILL, UK : While most beaches have either white, gold, black or red sand the Giants Causeway is a little bit different that’s because it is essentially a beach that’s filled with thousands of interlocking hexagon-shaped rocks, more specifically the area consists of around 40k basalt columns and according to local legends they were once part of a causeway created by a warrior and Scottish giant so that they could fight each other. However, geologist states that they were created thanks to volcanic lava cooling and fracturing into the basalt columns.

  4. MOERAKI BOULDERS,LOCATION-KOIKOHE, NEW ZEALAND : The Milwaukee borders are unusually large and spherical boulders lying along a stretch of Koikohe beach on the coast of New Zealand. They are scattered either as isolated rocks or clusters of boulders with many weighing several tons and being up to two meters in height. Scientists believed that the boulders were formed as calcite concretions forms about 65 million years ago. This occurs thanks to the hardening of the Pliocene mudstone which was buried in the nearby mudstone cliffs. Over time the sea waves have gradually eroded the softer stone to reveal the spherical formations beneath leading to the beautiful displays of boulders that we see today. However, the constant pounding of the Pacific Ocean is contributing to the slow disintegration of the boulders. So, if you are interested in venturing into their spherical splendor be sure to visit this site soon.

  5. EISRIESENWELT, LOCATION-VIRFIN, AUSTRIA : The ice –Eisriesenwelt is a natural limestone and ice cave inside the Hotel Mountain in Austria in the Alps and holds the record for being the world's largest ice cave. It extends for more than 42 km. It was formed by the Shulshak River which eroded passageways into the mountain there thawing snow which drained into the cave and froze created these beautiful ice formations making it an incredible spot to witness.
