  2. A group of cells in breast grow out of control and become tumor and affected other nearest cells of the breast. This group of infected cell or tumor have breast cancer. These types of cells and tumor are seen with the help of X-ray or felt a lump. What is Breast Cancer?

Types of Breast Cancer Mainly 3 types of Breast cancer • Ductal carcinoma in situ • Invasive (or infiltrating) ductal carcinoma • Invasive (or infiltrating) lobular carcinoma Less common types of Breast cancer • Inflammatory breast cancer • Paget disease of the nipple • Phyllodes tumor • Angiosarcoma

  4. Ductal carcinoma in situ DCIS is also known as intraductal Carcinoma. This type of cancer considers non invasive breast cancer or pre invasive breast cancer. Invasive cancer cell not spread through the wall of ducts and DCIS have not spread outside the breast. Invasive ductal carcinoma Invasive Breast cancer is the most common types of breast cancer. Invasive ductal carcinoma starts with milk duct of breast and break through the wall of ducts and grows the tumor in the breast and it is also spread to another part of the body. Invasive lobular carcinoma Invasive lobular carcinoma starts with milk producing lobules and it can be spread easily to another part of the body. This type of cancer is harder as compare to Invasive ductal carcinoma, it is proved by mammogram.

  5. Stages of Breast Cancer Stage 1 A Stage 0 Stage 1 Stage 0 describe non-invasive breast cancer, at this stage, there is no sign of cancer or starting sign of cancer. Stage 1describe invasive breast cancers, Stage 1 has two types. Tumor size in this stage 2 cm and the cancer cell is not spread out side the breast. Stage 1 B Stage 2 Tumor size in this stage 0.2 =< 2 mm and cancer cell is not spread out side the breast. Tumor size in this stage larger than 2 mm and Stage 2 has two types.

  6. Stage 2A Stage 2B Stage 3 Stage 2A no tumor found or larger than 2cm, in this stage found 1 to 3 axillary nodes. Stage 2B cancer cell larger than 2 cm but less than 5 cm are found in lymph nodes. Stage 3 cancer cell larger divided into 3 subcategory. Stage 3A Stage 3B Stage 3A cancer cell larger than 5 cm and cancer can spread 1 to 3 axillary lymph nodes. Stage 3B cancer cell is any size and spread to the chest wall or breast and spread up 9 axillary nodes.

  7. Stage 4 Stage 3C Stage 4 describe invasive breast cancer and cancer can be spread breast or chest or any nearby parts of the body like liver, skin and brain. Stage 3C no sign of cancer, if tumor present then it can be any size and cancer can spread 10 or more lymph nodes. TNM Staging TNM (Tumor, Nodes, Metastasis) is an another breast cancer stage.

Treatment of Breast Cancer There are several ways to treat a breast cancer it depending on cancer stages and it types- Local treatments: Some treatment for breast cancer called local therapies, in this therapies, do the treatment without any affecting to the body. Mainly there are two local therapy to used for breast cancer. • Surgery Treatment • Radiation therapy treatment Systemic treatments: Breast cancer treatment also done with drugs which drugs directly given to bloodstream or given by mouth because in this therapy drugs reach anywhere in the body. Different types of drugs used for breast cancer. • Chemotherapy Treatment • Hormone Therapy Treatment • Targeted Therapy Treatment

Side-effect of Breast Cancer Treatment Early Reactions • Skin changes: redness, irritation, blistering, ulceration, thickening. • Hair loss in treatment area. • Breast changes including swelling, tightness or tenderness. • Inflammation of the esophagus causing pain on swallowing • Lung inflammation with dry cough. • Inflammation of heart sac with chest pain and palpitations. Late Reactions • Changes in skin texture and/or color • Permanent hair loss in treatment area. • Breast changes including thickening, firmness, tenderness. • Swelling of arm. • Stiffness and discomfort in shoulder joint.
