  1. LEARNING IN A MULTI-DEVICE WORLD In 2012, Google's study, titled 'The New Multi-screen World: Understanding Cross-platform Consumer Behavior' gave us a glimpse of the multi-device world. It claimed we were using multiple devices in a day, often switching between them to complete tasks. Today that phenomenon is only getting stronger. THE MULTI-DEVICE WORLD Average number of connected devices used per person in selected countries in 2014 [1] “I don't throw anything away, I'm like two steps short of a hoarder. So I have, you know, an iPad, a mini iPad, an iPhone and Blackberry.” 4 3.6 Number of connected devices 3.1 3.1 3 2.9 3 2.4 2.4 1.9 2 United Kingdom United States Netherlands 1.1 Germany Australia 1 Canada Russia China Brazil 0 Hillary Clinton Our time online is spread between 4 primary media devices [2] [2] 90% Use Multiple screens sequentially to accomplish a task over time [2] 98% of users move between devices in the same day to complete a task Cross Device Analysis for a website User behaviour is not limited to a single device, and very often people jump between devices expecting a smooth transition. Learning solutions need to be comprehensive and available anytime, anywhere and on any device. As a result, learning solutions providers need to be designing and developing a learning environment that is responsive and can be seamlessly delivered to the learners, and make 'Learning a lifestyle'.
