Purpose • Provide a national organisation for practitioners and consumers of social impact measurement in Australia • SROI is a leading methodology, but still one of several • Recognises methodologies – including SROI – require investment in terms of further development and testing, and reputation / brand

  3. Functions of the Network • Training • Home of the accredited 2-day SROI training course • Assurance • Delegated authority from the international SROI Network • Events • Annual conference, regular State Capital networking/drinks receptions • Engagement with “consumers”, policymakers and associated professional services / practitioners • Online presence: website, resources (e.g. reports), online forum • Methodology development via membership • Practitioner directory

Organisational structure • National membership organisation • Members can be practitioners or anyone else with an interest in social impact measurement • One member, one vote • Operational in all States • Representative board (founding board to be appointed by founding members for a term of 2? years) • Recognised as Australian chapter of the international SROI Network • Affiliated to other relevant international and regional networks e.g. Social Impact Analysts Association

Membership • Annual fee • Level to be agreed (S100 - $200) • Covers membership of international SROI Network • Portion of the fee will be past to the international network • Membership benefits • Access to the assurance process (fee still charged) • Discounted attendance at annual conference • Attendance at other Network events

  6. News just in… • CSI may be able to secure funding for the establishment phase of the Network (TBC Monday 25th) • Establishment of the legal structure • 0.4 FTE co-ordinator/promoter

  7. Next Steps • Consultation to agree on: • Name • Purpose and functions • Structure • Liaise with regional / State networks • Liaise with external stakeholders • Liaise with Jeremy Nicholls, SROI Network • Liaise with Social Impact Analysts Association
