  1. Doug Mangold ARC – Managing Director, Product Management

  2. ARC is taking a new approach to product development • We want to engage customers earlier in product development • We want to move faster • Prototypes • Beta tests and pilots • We want to talk to a broader audience, especially the corporate travel manager FareSight is first result of this new approach

  3. We started by talking to a lot of travel managers • Found that there are limited tools that help the corporate travel manager… • Analyze spending habits • Compare their patterns to that of the industry • Optimize their air travel program • Tools that are available provide either incomplete or old information that puts the travel manager at a disadvantage

  4. Managers want to demonstrate value “Why do I have to go through my travel department when I can just book it myself at a cheaper rate?” Are the deals you’re getting from your airline partners really saving you money? How does your company compare to the market and with others in your industry?

  5. The manager needs a tool that is • Relevant. Data needs to be accurate, timely and important • Understandable. Multiple constituencies should be able to understand what the data means to them • Usable. You probably don’t look at your data every day, so you need a tool that is intuitive and easy to understand

  6. Meanwhile back at ARC $84 billion in total commerce (53% of all US airline tickets) will pass through ARC Settle ~150 million tickets this year > 3 billion flight segments in ARC COMPASS® 13,500 accredited points of sale, including every TMC 187 participating airlines That’s a lot of data!

  7. We’re going global ARC Tickets RUN RATE 150M Tickets/Year ARC ASP Data COMPASS® TODAY Global Data ARC ASP Data RUN RATE 450M Tickets/Year COMPASS® IATA BSP Data Beginning Carrier Data Contributions TARGET 2013Global Data ARC ASP Data COMPASS® RUN RATE ~700M Tickets/Year IATA BSP Data Rapid Growth in Carrier Contributions

  8. So we created • A benchmarking tool that: • Provides important KPIs to assess your air spend over time • Benchmarks your spending habits against all the transactions processed through ARC • Shows how much your program saves (or loses) to each O&D you fly • Compares how you allocate your spend across airlines and how much you pay each airline for each O&D

  9. Let’s take a look

  10. That was great! Now what? • FareSight will be available on December 9 • Adding additional Advance Purchase time filters • Adding a corporate travel filter • Early 2014 • Onboard customers that do not have a CTD or ARC number • Additional filters including class of service • Later in 2014 • Industry groupings (depending on participation) • Global data integration

  11. How much will this cost? Come see us during the speed dating! Beta customers will receive a significant discount

  12. Thank you!
