  1. Open Letter to Premier Wynne As I sit here stewing over the predicament of the standardbred horse breeding industry in Ontario after talking to one of the principal owners of Seelster Farms I decided to put pen to paper with the hope that you might actually read my comments. Visit our store (http://www.racingfuture.com/)today to see for yourself.

  2. The Racing Future Advocacy Progress Report • Headed by former long-serving Liberal Member of Parliament and business executive and horse racing industry participant Dennis Mills as President and CEO, Racing Future was established in early 2012 as a business enterprise dedicated to motivating and inspiring a new generation of fans to get involved in and support the horse racing industry.

  3. Councillors vote for Flamboroughcasino • Councillors voted at a marathon meeting Thursday that they strongly prefer a casino in Flamborough. They will only consider other sites if Flamboro Downs is found to be “not a viable site.”

  4. Learning from The New York Horse Racing & Agriculture Alliance • The direct, and indirect, economic impact of New York's horse industry in 2011 was $4.15 billion. A strong horse racing industry is vital to the New York agricultural and urban economies. Its continued growth needs to be ensured.

  5. Racing Future: why are we doing this? • In our advocacy on behalf of everyone involved in horse racing, we get asked  why we are doing what we're doing at Racing Future.

  6. Ontario Horse Racing Going Forward • Thanks to Yvonne Schwabe, and the CTHS, Standardbred Canada, the Quarter Racing Owners Aasociation, Sue Leslie from OHRIA, all the individual contributors listed on our site and all the written efforts, we are heading into the final week of a seven month campaign to save the farmers and horses of Ontario.

  7. A Speech to Remember: David Willmot • On Accepting the John W. Galbreath Award for Outstanding Entrepreneurship in the Equine Industry in 2001 • Thank you, Bob. I am delighted to be here. My wife, who is from Lexington, was editor of the now-defunct Thoroughbred Record when I met her and brought her to Canada. She found the following words of George Bernard Shaw that were often quoted by John Galbreath. Let me read them to you.

  8. Supreme Court of Canada declares a historic victory for horse racing • In a historic ruling with wide-reaching implications , the Supreme Court of Canada has declared that financial losses from active involvement in the horse racing industry can be the result of a serious business activity and not subject to the $8,750 deduction limit under Section 31 of the Income Tax Act for losses from such activities as hobby farming.
