  1. PCC Attestation for Gulf Countries Immigrating to Gulf countries requires one to comply with the rules and procedures as mentioned by foreign authorities of each middle-eastern country. The government in Gulf countries are strict and you need to submit necessary documents to authorities for getting a residential visa, employment visa, spouse visa, or student visa. One such requirement for immigrating to Gulf countries is getting a Police Clearance Certificate [PCC] from your home country. PCC is also known as the Good Conduct certificate. It is issued directly from the Police department or the Regional Passport Office. It is issued to persons who are immigrating to Gulf countries for a long-term visa, and for getting a residential and employment visa. Most of the Gulf countries ask for PCC when you apply for a residential or long-term visa. The government officials in Gulf countries require a Police Clearance Certificate to verify as to whether the person had any past criminal record in their home country. It is needed to ensure that the person is not harmful in any way to the country. The visa is issued to the immigrant only after the PCC verification from their home country. PCC attestation is the process of legalizing the document with an official seal and signature. It helps the foreign authorities to verify that the PCC document is genuine. To attest your PCC document from India, you need to do the notary attestation/home attestation from the state where the document was issued. After that document is attested from the Ministry of External Affairs [MEA]. Then, the PCC document is issued from the embassy of the Gulf country you are intending to travel.
