Agenda/Topics To Be Covered The students will describe technological advances and urban planning and their effects on turn-of-the-century city life by summarizing advances in communications Hand-in: Chapter 8 Vocabulary Warm-up Question: Examine the photos in this section and answer the following questions 1. What are the technological advances shown in the photos? 2. Which of these advances do you think had the greatest impact on life at the turn of the century? Why do you think so? Motivation: What changes could be made in modern American cities such as Baltimore, to make them more livable?
