ISO 9001: Inevitable Standard to Maintain the Quality of Products and Services The prime responsibility of an organization is to supply quality products and services to the customers and to ensure that quality has been maintained as per International Organization for standardization introduced ISO 9001 back in 1979. Nearly billion companies are now ISO 9001 certified. This standard can be implemented by using internal resources and external resources. Companies using external resources for consulting or auditing are benefitted that most in terms of implementation, risk coverage, payback and effectiveness statistics show that. It provides guidance and tools for the organizations that want product and service quality should be consistently maintained and improved. Any size of an Organization can use ISO 9001 Certification regardless of any nature of the business activity. This standard focus on strong customer based on certain foremost principles, continual improvement in process approach and the motivation and implication of top management. This standard will enhance the ability of the organization to meet the end-customer needs and requirements so that they plan systematically and execute in the areas of production, development, and services.
