  1. UES Measure Sunsets Regional Technical Forum December 17, 2013

  2. UES Measure Sunsets • Need to extend sunset date for the following measures: • Air Source Heat Pump Conversions MH • EnergyStar and EcoRated Home MH • Reason: Waiting on SEEM calibration for MH • Expected: 7/31/14 • PTCS Commissioning, Controls, & Sizing SF • Reason: Waiting on LMI decision, revised spec, provisional research plan • Expected: 3/31/14

  3. UES Measure Sunsets • Need to extend sunset date for the following measures: • Built Green Washington • Energy Star Homes SF - WA • Energy Star Homes SF - WA DHP TCO (provisional) • Reason: All above depend on new WA code baseline presented today • Expected: 2/28/14

  4. UES Measure Sunsets I ___________ move that the RTF extend the sunset dates as listed below for the following measures:

  5. UES Measure Sunsets – NC Measures • What is the RTFs level of interest in continuing individual new construction measures outside of BOPs? • i.e. Current PTCS Ducts Inside UES measure • Difficult to determine baseline case where measure is a possible code compliance path • WA and OR code have Ducts Inside as a possible code compliance path • How do we know measure wasn’t used to meet code? • Developing multiple baseline cases is likely to require significant staff resources

  6. UES Measure Sunsets – NC Measures • Does RTF want staff to spend time updating PTCS Ducts Inside as a separate UES measure? • Are programs even offering this measure currently? • Initial feedback from BPA was that it is not included in the measure database • Or, should staff redefine measure to apply only in states where Ducts Inside is not a code path? • If RTF does want to allocate staff resources to this measure, Ducts Inside needs a sunset date extension

  7. UES Measure Sunsets – NC Measures I __________ move that the RTF (choose one): Deactivate the PTCS Ducts Inside UES Measure OR Redefine PTCS Ducts Inside for states where it is not a possible code compliance path, and extend the sunset date to Feb 28, 2014 OR Develop PTCS Ducts Inside for all states, and extend the sunset date to March 31, 2014.
