  1. All That You Need to Know About Passport Renewal Passports are generally valid for 10 years from the date of issue. A minor passport is valid only for 5 years or until they attain 18 years of age, whichever is earlier. Ideally, the passport must be renewed before the expiration date or at least immediately after it expires. This is because you will be denied entry to the visiting country if your passport has less than six months of validity. Step 4 | Complete the Passport Application Process After making the payment, click on the Print Application Receipt to complete the process.
