Stefan Schmid Partner, Tax, Leader China Business Group PricewaterhouseCoopers AG, Zurich, Switzerland Function: Engagement lead partner and leader of the China business group being responsible for fully integrated service offering in cooperation with PwC China Qualification: Swiss Certified Tax Expert Relevant Experience: - 17 years of experience in international tax planning for multinational groups with an emphasis on implementing tax optimized business models (value chain transformations) - Assisted numerous clients to set-up and integrate their Chinese and Asian business with their European business structure - Swiss International Tax Services Leader assisting Swiss groups doing business abroad and foreign groups doing business in Switzerland Other special focus areas - Assisting clients in claiming tax incentives and other benefits offered by the economic development programmes of Switzerland - Structuring of large international groups from a legal ownership point of view including implementation of profit repatriation techniques - Assisting multinational groups in implementing and maintaining tax efficient Intellectual Property structures Languages: German (native language), English (business fluent)
