  1. Isaiah 9:6

  2. Have you ever been travelling and found that you have lost your way? • Or have you been stranded because your car broke down?

  3. It’s easy sometimes to get stranded or lost. • Both physically and spiritually as well. • The prophecy of Jesus birth tells us that He was no ordinary child. • He was extraordinary.

  4. Why was Jesus called “Mighty God”? • He is a mighty God who is able to rescue us. • He is a mighty God who is able to save us. • Luke 19:10 – “Seek & Save”

  5. He knows the roads you have travelled. • He knows the turns you have made. • He knows your dead ends.

  6. He knows you better than you know yourself. • When Jesus met the woman at the well, He asks her for drink of water.

  7. The Samaritan women is taken aback that a Jew is talking to her. • He begins to talk to her.

  8. Offers her living water. • She becomes interested. • Jesus puts her on the spot.

  9. Her lifestyle is exposed. • Jesus does not stop there. • Exposes her lifestyle even more. (John 4:17-19)

  10. Jesus knows her life. • Jesus knows her heart. • Her lifestyle is completely exposed. • He knows what she had done and with whom. • Jesus knows the same things about you and me.

  11. He knows the spiritual shape you are in. • Do you know where you are? • Remember – Adam & Eve when God was looking for them. • Did God really not know where Adam was?

  12. In the story of the prodigal son, the son runs off with the father’s money and spends it all. • He ends up broke, dirty and in the pig pen.

  13. Becomes hungry and even pig food looked good. • Starts to think. • Gets up and heads for home. • Father sees him when he was still “far off”. • Runs to greet him. Hugs him.

  14. Orders the best robe, puts a ring, sandals. • Luke 15:22-24 • What shape was he in? • Thinner, dirtier and was smelly. • Yet, the Father loved him. • What shape are you in?

  15. God knows what shape we are in. • Romans 3:23 – “All have sinned” • God loves us just the way we are but He loves us too much to leave us that way. • He is willing to bring us in and build us up.

  16. Only God knows how much time you have left on earth. • Hebrews 9:27 – “Appointed time – judgment.” • This verse does not talk about the number of days.

  17. It talks about what happens after we die. • We should be more concerned about judgment rather than how long we have. • We need to be concerned about whether we will walk the streets of gold.

  18. Or whether we will live forever. • Our God knows how much time we have left. • Let us make the best of it.

  19. God knows our efforts. How hard we have tried to be good. • No matter how good you are, you still need a Savior. • Only He can rescue us. • Eph.2:8-9 – “Not a reward”

  20. Our rescuer will not come unless you call on Him. • Romans 10:13 – “Calls on Jesus.” • Jesus is our mighty God. • He has the power to seek and save the lost. • Where are you today?
