  2. Web page: • http://www.cs.binghamton.edu/~kchiu/cs550/ • VERY IMPORTANT: Mailing list: • Everyone should have been subscribed automatically, using your BU address. • You should have received a test message. If not, contact me. • To manage your subscription, send an e-mail to cs550-request@cs.binghamton.edu with the single word help in the body (NOT the subject). • If you want to use a different address to subscribe, you can change that. Try not to have a duplicate subscription. • If you want to send e-mail from an address that is not the one that you are subscribed with, just go ahead and do it. I will get a notification, then I will white-list your other address. • Check the archives if you are subscribed late: https://www.cs.binghamton.edu/mailman/private/cs550/.

  3. Everyone should have gotten (or will get) an e-mail about accounts and access to the labs. Please test as soon as you get the e-mail. • Do not wait till the day before an assignment is due. Extensions will not be granted due to problems with access, unless you can demonstrate that you tested it within 48 hours of account creation or card access. • Please contact CSAdmin@binghamton.edu about accounts, and April St. John (astjohn@binghamton.edu) about lab access. • CC me. • If you discuss anything with me verbally after class, or in the hall, or whatever, you must send me an e-mail so that I will have a written record of our conversation.

  4. I’ve been here about 9 years. • I’m mainly a UNIX/Linux person. • (I guess that kind of includes Mac.) • Though I use Windows on the desktop (for better or worse). • My main language is C and C++. • Done some programming in Java, Perl, etc. • Main interests are bioinformatics, distributed systems, physically-based computer graphics.
