  8. Make the testing environment less stressful

  9. Compare scores with program goals and remediate with KeyTrain if nessesary

  10. Reward Student Success

  11. Why Pretest with WorkKeys? When a student enrolls at CVTC “Pre-testing” in WorkKeys allows students who are capable of scoring at or above their program goals to “test-out” of remediation in the KEYS Center. Yes, this costs CVTC more money but saves our students valuable class time if they perform at level and reduces the number of tests a student has to take.

  12. Total Percentages by Program

  13. How did we get to that 96%? • Never underestimating the role of the tutor

  14. Keeping instructors informed using monthly progress reports to instructors.

  15. Making student successes a BIG deal!

  16. Factors that effect overall percentage of students at goal level in a program: • Open entry /Open exit, people come and people go…the numbers are always changing. • IEP students may be exempt or have adjusted program goals. Many IEP students become part of the class percentage!

  17. What will 2011 bring??? We are already on a roll! By the end of the first semester we are already at 81%!
