  2. Staff • Class Teachers-Mrs Kent and Miss Rush • Teaching Assistants-Mrs Walters and Miss Hughes • Head-Mrs Loftus • AHT- follow process for concerns • Family Support-Mrs Grier • Office-Mrs Cantwell and Mrs Roberts

  3. School Times • School begins at 8.55am but is open from 8.45am • Please ensure your child is in school prompt each morning • School finishes at 2.55pm • Miss Rush’s class leave from her classroom, Mrs Kent’s leave from the hall

  4. Attendance- high priority, we must make sure our children reach the school target of 95% and above • Punctuality-essential. Please make sure children arrive on time every day. • Medical- Miss Mills • Uniform-Please ensure all children come to school wearing the correct uniform and footwear • Lunch times-12-1pm

  5. Homework • Spellings will be sent out every Monday to be learnt for a spelling test on Fridays • Handwriting homework will be sent home every Wednesday-Return for Friday please • Homework to be given out on a Friday-Return for Monday please

  6. Reading • Reading books-Reading books to be brought to school daily. Please try to read as much as possible with your child at home. • Guided Reading-Children are grouped and read in a guided session with the class teacher on a weekly basis • Other opportunities-Try to encourage your child to use the interactive phonics play website

  7. Topics • This term we will cover: • Florence Nightingale, Beginnings, Stories from familiar Settings, Healthy Eating, Counting to 100 and Number facts to 10 and 20. They will also cover a topic on Judaism.

  8. Trips and Visitors • Proposed so far: • Visit from a nurse • Under Waterstreet • Pantomime
