  15. Miramare: Towards the “Good Environmental Status” There are mounting scientific evidence that anthropogenic noise can harm marine and terrestrial animals, including many endangered species. This evidence calls for a decision on what could and should be done to mitigate the effects of noise pollution. As consequence, sensible areas, like Miramare AMP, need an important research effort to refine management of the effects of noise in order to proceed expeditiously with sensible mitigation measures.
