  1. 5 Myths about Soy Soy is a rich source of protein. The lecithin manufacturers produce soybean lecithin liquid by extracting them from the soybeans. The soya lecithin liquid is a natural mix of phospholipids. Here are some interesting myths about soya ● Soy imitation meat products are nutritious because they don’t contain meat: Soyabean as an ingredient can quickly gel with other products. They can be efficiently used to replace meat. Soy meat products are far from their original form, and they are nutritious and power-packed with goodness. ● Men should avoid soy because it reduces testosterone levels: There is a popular myth that soy can reduce testosterone levels in men and cause prostate. However, this is just an assumption. There is no accurate or authentic data that testify to this myth. Moreover, several studies have concluded stating soy intake can lower the chances of prostate cancer by 25%. ● Soy consumption increases the risk of breast cancer: The isoflavone in soy is often associated with breast cancer and phytoestrogens. However, there is no clinical data or research that proves this. Moreover, it is believed that the isoflavone and phytoestrogens have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. They have the potential to reduce cancer growth. ● Soy phytoestrogens inhibit thyroid function: Only a high dose of soy phytoestrogens can lead to clinical hypothyroidism. ● Soy-based infant formula can disrupt growth and reproductive development: Several research and studies on the effect of soy lecithin and soy on infant babies have stated that there is no significant risk or evident impact of Soy-based infant formula on infant’s reproductive development.
