  2. Introduction • Official name: Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) • Area total: 389 sq. km (Saint Vincent 344 sq. km) • Population: 110,000 • Geographic coordinates: 13 N 61 W • Location: 100 miles west of Barbados, 75 North north-east of Grenada.

  3. Operational Capacity • Observations Station. Argyle International Airport. • Operational hours:1000 UTC to 0200 UTC daily. • METARs (Hourly), SPECIs, Synoptic reports, Trend Forecast METAR TVSA 201800Z 06015KT SCT018 30/23 Q1015 TEMPO 5000 SHRA • Human resources: • 3 Forecasters (1 Senior-Level Technician, 2 Meteorologist) • 7 Entry-Level Technician (Observers). 6 of which are Mid-Level Technician (Climatology &Instruments)

Forecasting Capability • Threshold flood/landslides: 50-75 mm in 12hr or less • Through (CMO) agreement, the Barbados Meteorological Services (BMS) is responsible for providing forecast, watches & warnings for SVG. • Issue Public advisory/Bulletins, Watches, Warnings, Weather Reports via Email, Fax/Telephone & Social Media. • Weather recipients include, Radio & Television stations, Emergency Office (NEMO), Newspapers, other Government departments & NGOs. • Drafted SOPs (QMS)
