  5. Settling In Home Visit – You will be given a time – we may arrive 5 minutes before or after this. Small groups start each day Stay for lunch from the first week. Week 1 home time 1:30 Full time from Monday 17th September

  6. Routine of the Day Bring children into the classroom Guided activities and free flow play Group times Finish and collect from the classroom doors.

  7. Help your child to be ready for school • Help them to manage coats, shoes, toilet – please don’t send your child to school in shoelaces – Velcro straps will help your child feel more independent and stay safe. • Talking about school in a positive way • Reading and talking with your child

  8. Clothing • All weathers • changeable • Safe • Old • Uniform • Labels – PLEASE! • Lost property • Forest School

  9. Lunch Time • Everyone can have a free school dinner • Packed lunch • Water • Healthy • We are a nut free school due to severe allergies.Designated midday meals staff for each class

  10. Parental Help • Sharing experiences • Trips/Forest School – volunteering We need a very high ratio of adults to children for safeguarding purposes. • Bank of regular volunteers

Forest School • As part of the curriculum the children will have the opportunity to experience the setting in Walkers Wood which is an area used for Forest School sessions. • This will be part of the settling period and we always need volunteers in order to run the sessions. • The ethos of Forest Schools is to allow children the time and space to develop skills, interest and understanding through a range of activities which provide practical, hands-on experiences in a natural environment

Person to person Greet you and your child each morning After school better for discussion Informal learning evening in the first term Parent teacher interview after Christmas Electronic PACT Folders Some Early Years letters will go home in that PACT folders but most communication is digital.   14. Please return all forms back to the office by the 7th July Children must have medication on the first day. We have to have 2 of every medication in school.
