  2. Describe the three animals that live in the desert Scorpion: In the desert, Scorpions escape heat. All scorpions can conserve water because they all have thick skin. It’s always a hot weather in the desert and it’s so dry. They do different landscapes with two different things. They do it with sand and rock. • Spotted bat: Most spotty bats live in the desserts. They live in other places too but some of them live in the desert. They weight 16 to 2o grams.   3. Describe the 3 plants that live there • Cotton Wood: Cotton wood is a tree. It is also known as the water tree. It tall and it could reach up to 50 or 60 feet tall. It mostly grows on rivers and its depended on water. • http://www.ehow.com/list_7311076_three-plants-live-desert.html

  4. State the important abiotic factors • All different kind of deserts have different temperatures. In the summer the temperature could reach from 20 degrees to 25 degrees. But in the extreme weather the temperature could be reached to 49 degrees Celsius in the summer season whilst it reaches to -2 degrees Celsius in winter season.

  5. State the resources like minerals, oil and medicinal plants that may be found there. • There are many plants that may be found in the desert. The plants that are in the desert are Cottonwood, saguaro, Desert Lupine, and many more.

  6. How has science helped to discover the resources that we can use. • They scientists made it to use the resources more benefits for our lives. For example ‘wind, to produce electricity and oil to make fuels, plastics, and medicines.

  7. Describe a few human activities that affect your biome. (In relation to use of resources). Why are they being done? • There is nothing that is affecting the desert.   8. How has use of natural resources affected the environment? • Oil is taken out from very deep underground. It give’s energy to a lot of things like ‘Electricity, run cars, factories, and many more. But this energy comes from burning the oil which results smokes which pollutes the air and it affects all other live creatures.
