Mentally recall +/- facts to 20 and solve problems involving larger numbers Solve number problems involving multiplication and division Read and write whole numbers to 9999 Use all four operations to solve simple word problems Use the appropriate number operation solve a problem Classify regular polygons using: number of right angles, regular sides and symmetry Find ½ of a number to 50, ¼ to 40 and 1/3 to 30 Begin to find remainders after division Use less than (<), greater than (>) and equals (=) Convert between metric units e.g. 250cm=2.5m, 2500g=2.5kg Count on or back in tens or hundreds staring from any two or three digit number Recall division facts for 2, 5 and 10x tables Recognise fractions equivalent to 1/2, or ¼
