OpenText Health Check OpenText Health Checklist Whether you're planning to implement a new OpenText™ project, upgrade your system, or just maintain an existing system, it's a good idea to perform an annual OpenText™ health check. The OpenText™ Health Check is typically a 3–5-day event where experienced technical experts review your company's OpenText™ systems, chat with IT management, product owners, and IT support staff, and present in the form of reports and Q&A sessions their discovery. OpenText OpenText™ Once system discovery was complete, the team moved on to a detailed technical review of the OpenText™ installation, covering basic product architecture, installation, and configuration. The Health Check environment review activity investigates each OpenText™ environment, including backup and recovery, noting the overall system architecture of each environment. Once the environment has been identified, we analyze server, storage, and database usage and performance. OpenText OpenText™ This step is closely related to the technical review and provides an overview of the overall performance of the OpenText™ application and communication of best practices and cost-benefit analysis. Typically, customers purchase excess capacity as an initial purchase, but these resources are quickly depleted over time as the system is deployed and scaled. Streamlined options are shared with our clients. We'll do a size analysis based on usage requirements, content size, and platform (hardware, operating system, database, etc.). Based on the results of the sizing analysis, we will recommend infrastructure changes such as increasing memory, and CPU or distributing certain OpenText™ components on different or additional servers (virtual or physical). ™ Performance Evaluatio Performance Evaluation n We recommend at least requesting an upgrade assessment health check and consulting service to ensure that your OpenText™ environment is ready for an upgrade and that you have someone to turn to for helpful advice and guidance.
