  4. What can we do? • Talk it Up! • Be sensitive to the “New Rotarian” • Promote our Activities & Projects • Put promotion in club’s budget • Set your priorities – What’s REALLY important? • Recruit, retain, network, mentor, engage, attend, support…..& have fun!

  5. RECRUITMENTEveryone Needs a Job • Thrive, don’t just survive! • Set realistic goals for club growth • Minimal 20% Gain from membership drive • ENTIRE club should be invested in club growth • Mentoring – An essential element • Share recruiting ideas • New Member Application

  6. RETENTIONEveryone Needs a Job • Why join rotary? • Rotarians in name only? • Share your “ah-ha!” moment • Does everyone have a job • Share past club data & resources • scheduling committee meetings • Be a Leader, not a Micro-Manager • Spread it around…look to engageless active members

PROJECT LIAISON REPORT ANY IDEAS FOR NEW PROJECTS & RESOURCES ARE WELCOME 12:45 P.M. – 12:50 P.M. RETENTION LIAISON EACH TEAM IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MEMBERS OF THEIR TEAM TEAM NEEDS TO DECIDE HOW TO APPROACH EVERY DISENGAGED MEMBER OF THE TEAM 12:50 P.M. – 12:55 P.M. NEW MEMBER LIAISON BRAINSTORM WITH YOUR TEAM REGARDING POTENTIAL NEW MEMBERS WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY 1-3 NEW MEMBERS NEED TO BE PROPOSED BY YOUR TEAM BE PREPARED TO OFFER TO APPROACH AND INVITE TO LUNCH A POTENTIAL NEW MEMBER, AS NEEDED BY YOUR TEAM 12:55 P.M. – 1:00 P.M. Know your Club…Know your Numbers… • Analyze your club’s membership roster • Friends, acquaintances, strangers • Look back 5 years….what has happened to membership? • DacDB on the Club Dashboard • Get one, Keep One, Help One • Keep everyone up to date on membership progress • Remind your members of your club’s successes • Keep Score! How many have you helped? • Smaller clubs can impact significant numbers of people..

The Core of the Rotary Meeting:Breaking Bread Together • Can this tradition continue? • Alternatives to a meeting with a meal included • The full meal is cost prohibitive to the younger member. • Is a satellite club a possibility? Function as a satellite committee? • Is a District E-Club in our future?

  14. What’s New to Rotary? Having Fun & Networking • The acceptance of Networking • Fun, friends, fellowships • Look for District & RI groups thatshare your interests • Develop fun activities & social events, include partners wherever possible
