  2. DPI’s nomenclature problem: • Measures of Student Learning (MSLs) are also known as Common Exams • Constructed Response (CR) Items a.k.a. Performance Items (MSLs = CEs CR = PI DPI ≠ Dill Pickles are Icky) MSLs will have Constructed Response items, EOGs/EOCs do not...yet

  3. Science MSLs • Earth/Environmental Science • Chemistry • Physics • Physical Science • OCS Applied Science • 6th and 7th Grade Science • (4th Grade Science if not also teaching Math or LA)

  4. MSLs: • Paper pencil • 90 minutes long including general instructions and breaks • Constructed Response Items graded by teachers, then tests are scanned

  5. HS Reference Materials: • Student should have access to these when taking the MSL • Physics, Chemistry, and Physical Science pdfs can be downloaded from: http://www.waynecountyschools.org/Page/19135
